News for Performers:

Where/When Do We Practice?

The Greenville Concert Band practices Thursday nights from 7pm until 9 pm in the Band Room of Hughes Academy of Science and Technology, at 122 DeOyley Avenue, Greenville SC 29605.

In case of inclement weather, check the radio, TV, or school district hotline. If Greenville County Schools are closed, so are we!

Rehearsal News:

Our first rehearsal takes place on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the band room at Hughes Academy. As a point of information for new members, the school is located at 122 DeOyley Avenue off of Augusta Road and Rice Street in Greenville.

Rehearsals begin earlier than usual in order to prepare for a 9/11 commemorative concert in Fountain Inn on Sunday, September 11 at 3:00 p.m. Although we will be playing a number of the standards that have been performed by the band for many years in the past, we will still need to have several rehearsals beforehand to prepare adequately for what should be a memorable experience.

Formal Performance Dress:
